Deepa’s Story

Deepa first noticed subtle changes in her body that didn’t seem quite right. At just 35 years old, she soon received the news that no one expects to hear: she had breast cancer.

After surgery and treatment, she believed the cancer was behind her. But years later, it returned and had spread to her brain, liver, and lungs.

Determined to keep fighting, Deepa pursued targeted and integrative therapies that focused on treating her whole body. Many of these treatments showed promising results, but like many alternative therapies, they were not covered by insurance.

Cancer quickly became not only a medical battle, but a financial one.

That’s when the Nightbirde Foundation stepped in.

Through a treatment grant, the foundation helped support the therapies that were giving Deepa hope and progress in her fight against cancer. With that support, she was able to focus more fully on healing rather than worrying about the financial burden of treatment.

For Deepa and her family, the generosity of donors has meant more than financial assistance. It has meant the chance to keep fighting and the reassurance that they are not alone.

“When I’m not worried about the cost, I can focus on healing.”

Hope moves from one woman to another.

Every woman you meet here has a different story.
Different circumstances. Different fears. Different moments where hope felt far away.

But what they share is this:
Someone stepped in.

Through the Nightbirde Foundation, women facing breast cancer receive encouragement, community, and support for treatments that insurance often will not cover.

Because when one woman is lifted up, the impact reaches far beyond her.

It touches her family.
Her children.
Her community.
And it reminds every woman walking this road that she is not alone.

You can help carry that hope forward.
